If you have a minimum of two to five years experience then your expertise is in demand. As an electrician in New Jersey you will most likely need to be willing to travel. Opportunities exist in North, Central as well as South Jersey. Although the economy is struggling, you can find work if you are experienced and willing to travel. Some employers will pay you for you travel to the job so this may work out well if your employer is in North Jersey and you live in South Jersey and he has a major job in your area. Most of the job criteria are for individuals with two to five years of experience at the minimum for electricians. Your hourly rate depends on your experience and your versatility. What have you done in the past?

Here are some things you should emphasize if you have done them in the past. If you are a good trouble shooter, promote that aspect. Trouble shooting is a key attribute to those who are installers and especially for those who do repairs. Many NJ contractors today are supplementing the installation jobs with continuing contract repair support for major stores such as McDonalds and WaWa.
